President's Office Transitions

June 16, 2021

Dear Faculty and Staff:

As we prepare for a normal fall semester and continuously evaluate the University's administrative functions, I want to share two enhancements soon to be made on the President's Council, and specifically, within the President's Office.

First, Robyn L. Driskell, Ph.D., has served as a vice president over several organizational units and the president's chief of staff since June 2016. Currently, as vice president for internal administration and compliance, Dr. Driskell oversees a number of departments and offices, including the Equity Office, the Title IX Office, University Compliance and Risk Services, the Office of Internal Audit and Management Analysis, Environmental Health and Safety, and the Department of Public Safety and Security. She also serves as chair of the President's Diversity Council and Professor of Sociology.

These organizational units are of significant importance to Baylor, and I have asked Dr. Driskell to serve as the University's new vice president and chief compliance and risk officer, continuing her valued leadership in these areas and on the President's Council. I sincerely appreciate Dr. Driskell's selfless service during her time within the President's Office, working with the Board of Regents and building the programs of compliance and Title IX, and I look forward to working with her in this enhanced new role.

Dr. Driskell's transition will be effective August 18, 2021, at which time Tiffany Hogue, J.D., will join the President's Office as my new chief of staff. Since 2016, Ms. Hogue has served as a clinical professor of higher education leadership and policy. Previously, among other Baylor appointments, she was the chief of staff to the provost from 2011-16 and assistant provost from 2003-11. In those roles, she helped to lead the two-year campus-wide strategic visioning process that resulted in Pro Futuris and Baylor's 2007 reaffirmation of SACSCOC accreditation. She also served as assistant dean of academics for the College of Arts & Sciences in the early 2000s.

Ms. Hogue holds a juris doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and brings a wealth of higher education and outside experience to the President's Office.

I look forward to working with Ms. Hogue in this new capacity as the President's Office supports and advances Baylor's distinct mission and our aspirations to become the preeminent Christian research university. Please note that Ms. Hogue is teaching two doctoral seminars over the summer and will not transition into her new chief of staff role until mid-August.

Thank you for your continued dedication and service to Baylor.

Sincerely,

Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D.
President
