Merry Christmas from Baylor

Merry Christmas

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:9-11

Christmas marks the coming of the light of Christ into the world. At Baylor, the Christmas season provides us with opportunities to prayerfully reflect upon the work with which God has entrusted us and to strengthen our commitment to transforming the lives of our students and serving the surrounding world.

The angel of the Lord encouraged the shepherds who were watching their flocks at night near Bethlehem to not be afraid. Today, standing in the same glorious presence of the Lord, we boldly give thanks to God for the gift of salvation through Christ — the “good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”

May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace.

Merry Christmas
