Easter Greetings from Baylor University

Dear Baylor Family,

As we approach the promise of Easter Sunday, our hearts anticipate its glory with great eagerness. Easter is a singularly joyous occasion for Christians, fulfilling the prophecies that foretold the Messiah in the Old Testament and calling us back to the miraculous resurrection of Jesus that fills the New Testament with its holy light.

More personally, Easter brings us together in salvation through the grace and mercy of our Lord, as the Apostle Peter notes in this passage:

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
(1 Peter 1:3)

This Easter, as we give thanks for the many blessings God has bestowed upon us, we are reminded that our greatest reward lies ahead in the abiding love of Jesus Christ. My prayer this Easter is that all of us in the Baylor Family will give thanks for our salvation through the practice of loving one another as Christ loves us.

In the Risen Christ we are renewed and replenished with hope!

He is Risen, indeed!
